but I sometimes go by kc or Kacey Raye Jones. I was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. 

I research sound, nostalgia, the American South, Blackness, and more. I am a PhD candidate at the University of Arizona in the Applied Intercultural Arts Research program.

I'm also a gamer, musician, and multi-disciplinary artist.
