Hello,
I'm Keyania Campbell, a memory studies scholar
and PhD candidate at the University of Arizona in the Applied Intercultural Arts Research program. I was born and raised in Dallas, Texas.

As an arts-based ethnographer, I use multi-disciplinary and experimental methods to study sound, nostalgia, and Black life in the American South. I focus on the ways technology, music and everyday sounds shape how stories and histories live on and interact with the present.
I'm passionate about teaching ethnography as a tool for all students to understand the world around them, regardless of what kind of learner they are. I specialize in the first-generation college student experience.
Thank you for visiting. You can interact with my work or drop me a line below.
